Website Workshop

We want the website to do two things: It should give the greater community a way to get to know us, understand what we are about and join in support of our social justice initiatives or join as a member of our church community. It should give members of our church community a way to stay in touch and involved in all our activities.

This Website Workshop page is here to help you help us continuously expand and reshape the website and its usage in support of those goals.

Much of the content for this page will come from semi-monthly and on-demand Website Workshops.

The workshops are lead by members of the Communications & Technology Committee to help First UU members, volunteers and staff with using the church website as a source of information and means of communication about the church and church activities

The semi-monthly workshops are from 4 pm to 7pm in the Commons on the first and third Monday of each month. The on-demand workshops are held at the convenience of your group or committee through arrangement with the Communications and Technology Committee.

The semi-monthly sessions will start with a presentation and or exercise on a topic from questions people have asked. Then we'll have questions on the session topic or anything about the website. People can drop by at any time during the workshop for a quick look at the topic material or an answer to any website question. Questions that can't be answered quickly will be added to the list of future topics. The semi-monthly topic sessions will be posted on the website at least a day in advance.

The on-demand workshops are custom-tailored to your group's interests.
